Working Through a Pandemic

I hope everyone is well and staying healthy! I imagine this pandemic is affecting all of you in different ways. For those in the essential services, I’m sure it’s all hands on deck as you revise procedures and train employees on how to meet customer needs in this new reality. But perhaps some of you have less work than usual, or maybe no work, which is anxiety-inducing in a different way.

This week I will likely fly back to Chicago, where there is a stay-at-home order. Any gathering larger than 10 people is prohibited, as is socializing in person with people outside our households. We can still go to the grocery store and seek essential services. We can take walks as long as we keep a 6-foot distance from others.

My fridge is empty so I’ll have to go grocery shopping first thing — wish me luck! Let’s hope these measures will slow the spread of the virus and help protect those who are most vulnerable.

If you’re in work-is-crazy mode, we’re available if you need an extra pair of hands or an outside perspective. Let us know if you need input on your training plan and someone to help with change management.

If you are in a lull, our virtual workshops are a great opportunity to tackle issues your learning team may be facing. You can think of them as mini-consultations. Each one gives you time to brainstorm and ask questions about your situation — plus you get a comprehensive toolkit to begin the change process in a strong way. During this time of reflection and re-evaluation, I especially recommend Value Prop Rehab and You Have Too Much Training.

I wish everyone the best! Please let me know how I can support you.
